Challenge

XD Connects is a leading designer and supplier of sustainable business gifts, serving over 5,000 B2B distributors, mainly in Europe. Headquartered in Rijswijk, the Netherlands, the company is strongly focused on sustainability, aiming to become CO2 neutral by 2030. When launching their Apparel collection Iqoniq, the challenge was providing transparent data for the collection reflecting its lower impact.

Solution

Made2Flow delivered supply chain data, using mainly primary sources from the producing factories and constructing a Bill of Materials and Bill of Processes. The approach enabled XD Connects to gain understanding of the environmental impact across its various supply chain routes, capturing differences in dyeing processes, spinning operations, and raw material sourcing, based on high-quality, verified primary data. The availability of the credible footprint measurements, benchmark and savings % enabled XD Connects to gain insight into the impact of materials and production.
